"ALABAMA" is a project born out of the love I have for my home. This place is so special to me, and I wanted to express these feelings by creating something that shows off not only the "big cities" but also the small towns. Our state has such a unique landscape and changing sceneries; one corner of the state often seems like another world from the other. To create this series, I used gouache paint and watercolor paper. With a whole lot of research, asking questions, sketching, and planning, I now have a collection I am so proud to display.
